How it works

1

Tell us what you need

Share your business structure, the vehicle or vehicles you are looking to finance, and whether it is for a single purchase or part of a fleet. No paperwork required at this stage.

2

We identify suitable structures

Business vehicle finance can be structured in different ways — chattel mortgage, finance lease, or commercial hire purchase. We explain the options and identify which lenders suit your business profile.

3

Documents and application

Typical documents include ABN registration, financial statements or BAS, and vehicle details. Requirements vary by lender and loan structure. We will advise exactly what is needed before anything is lodged.

4

Approval and settlement

Once approved, we manage settlement and keep you informed through to completion. Direct communication — no handoffs.

Common questions

What is a chattel mortgage?

A chattel mortgage is a common business vehicle finance structure where the lender takes a mortgage over the vehicle as security. You own the vehicle from the outset. There may be potential GST and tax benefits — speak with your accountant about what applies to your situation.

What is a finance lease?

Under a finance lease, the lender owns the vehicle and you make regular payments to use it. At the end of the lease term you typically have options to purchase, refinance, or return the vehicle. We will explain the differences and which structure may suit your business.

Can I finance multiple vehicles at once?

Yes. We can assist with fleet purchases. Requirements and structures may differ for multiple vehicles — we will discuss what is involved based on your specific situation.

Does my business need to be trading for a certain period?

Some lenders have minimum trading period requirements. Others are more flexible, particularly for established businesses or where the director has a strong personal credit profile. We will identify which lenders are likely to consider your application.

Can I claim GST on a business vehicle?

Depending on the loan structure and your GST registration, there may be GST implications. Speak with your accountant about what applies to your situation. We can help identify the right finance structure.

How does broker remuneration work?

We charge a brokerage fee for our service. We may also receive a commission from the lender when a loan is settled. Both will be disclosed to you before you proceed.
